Data You Provide

When you use HabitStack, you may provide the following information:

  • Habit Data: Names, icons, colors, and categories of habits you create
  • Completion Records: Dates, times, and notes for habit completions
  • Settings: Your app preferences and configurations

Data Collected Automatically

We do not collect any personal information automatically. HabitStack does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.

Apple Health Data

If you choose to enable Apple Health integration (Premium feature), HabitStack may read the following data types:

  • Step count
  • Water intake
  • Exercise minutes
  • Sleep analysis
  • Mindful minutes

This data is used solely to automatically track relevant habits and is never shared with third parties or sent to our servers.

How Your Data is Stored

Local Storage

All your habit data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure data storage frameworks. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync.

iCloud Sync (Premium)

If you enable iCloud sync, your habit data is stored in your personal iCloud account. This data is:

  • Encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Accessible only by you through your Apple ID
  • Not accessible to HabitStack developers
  • Managed according to Apple's privacy policies

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used exclusively to:

  • Display your habits and track your progress
  • Calculate streaks and statistics
  • Send reminder notifications (if enabled)
  • Sync data across your devices (if iCloud sync is enabled)

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties.

Your habit data is yours alone. We have no access to your data and cannot view, analyze, or share it.

Third-Party Services

HabitStack uses the following Apple services:

  • StoreKit: For processing in-app purchases (Premium subscription)
  • CloudKit: For iCloud sync (Premium feature)
  • HealthKit: For Apple Health integration (Premium feature)

These services are governed by Apple's privacy policies.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data:

  • All data is stored using Apple's secure frameworks
  • Face ID/Touch ID protection available for app access
  • iCloud data is encrypted end-to-end
  • No data is transmitted to external servers

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained on your device until you choose to delete it. You can:

  • Delete individual habits and their history within the app
  • Export your data before deletion (Premium feature)
  • Delete all data by uninstalling the app
  • Manage iCloud data through iOS Settings

Children's Privacy

HabitStack is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all your data within the app
  • Export your data in JSON or CSV format (Premium)
  • Delete your data at any time
  • Disable Apple Health access through iOS Settings
  • Disable iCloud sync at any time

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
